Wearing white pants is risky business. It tells the world that you are confident that you can make it through the entire day without getting dirty. The slightest spot or stain will catch the eye of every stranger that you pass by, and that is some unwanted attention.
Wearing white is not done by many, only a brave soul would take such a risk as this. If there is an especially good time for our pale friends it would be in the beautiful glow of a sunshine filled day. But let me tell you friends, if the sun shines on those white pants and those white pants are not their whitest; then you are better off not wearing them at all. So, how do we get them to look their best? Let's find out.
1) Don't. I repeat do not ever wash them with your colored clothes. The dye from the colored clothes will bleed and soak into your pants ruining them forever. If you decide to wear them out you will get some certainly funny looks and your friends will be embarrassed to go out with you. This is not a very clever risk to take. You are not going to impress anybody by showing off and doing this stupid selfish act. So it goes without saying that you should not do it! Do a load of all of your pure whites together, this way, you don't have to worry about any of the colors running from the other clothes in the washing machine.
2) When you own a pair of white pants bleach is you friend. Sure it may smell funny and be messy if spilled on other clothes but you should have thought of that before you purchased your darling, (look at me), pants. Add some bleach to your whites when doing the wash or you can soak them in the sink with a solution of bleach and water.
3) Send them out to a laundry service. Let's face it. You must have known that wearing white pants was not going to be easy. Just look around. How many people would you see on a random day wearing them? To make sure they look their whitest let the professionals look after them. Only then will they be in good hands.
So, if you absolutely need to own a pair of stunning white pants makes sure you either stay out of trouble or at least take the proper precautions in caring for them. If you don't take them seriously like they should be. You may find your pants have a dark side that just keeps on getting darker and darker.
